Meet Our New Leadership Council Members
August 3, 2026This season, we’re welcoming our new members of the Leadership Council cohort — community leaders who will help shape our mutual aid, deepen our political education work, and guide our land liberation campaign
Celebrating the Last LC Cohort
Our outgoing LC accomplished major wins this year:
Strengthened our mutual aid fund and expanded support for Black mamas and caregivers
Led political education workshops on land extraction, abolition, and food sovereignty
Supported youth programming and hands-on land stewardship days
Helped anchor our land liberation strategy with clarity and community accountability
We’re deeply grateful for their leadership. We also want to honor Rochelle, Cierra, and Chinue as they complete their terms. Their dedication, care, and leadership have helped shape Feed Black Futures, and we are deeply appreciative of the lasting impact they've made on our work and community
Welcoming the New LC
Our incoming LC members bring fresh energy, lived experience, and a shared commitment to Black land sovereignty. They’ll be supporting program development, campaign strategy, and community membership engagement throughout the year.
