Genevieve is an equity advocate and community strategist with over a decade of experience advancing racial justice, mental health equity, and social impact. As a first-generation Dominican and Ghanaian, she is deeply committed to culturally responsive solutions that center healing, rest, and empowerment.
Her work spans legal advocacy, youth development, and nonprofit leadership. After earning a B.S. in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University, she supported marginalized communities through roles at the Legal Resource Center and Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office. She later empowered underrepresented youth at BAYCAT and led mental health programming for over 1,500 participants at Community Strengths.
Now serving as Program Director at Black Citizen, she drives initiatives uplifting Black arts, culture, and community well-being. She is also the founder of Bay Area Black Leaders. Genevieve’s work embodies her belief that true equity is achieved through healing justice, narrative change, and centering historically excluded voices.
