Jade

Executive Assistant

Jade (she/her) is a proud Sacramento native, born and raised in California’s capital city— affectionately known as the Farm to Fork Capital or The City of Trees, depending on who you ask. Growing up surrounded by fresh produce, local festivals, and tight-knit neighborhoods helped shape her deep appreciation for community, culture, and connection. Driven by a desire for new experiences and deeper civic engagement, Jade decided to make the Bay Area her home in 2018.

It was in Oakland where she found not just a city, but a heartbeat. Drawn in by its vibrant culture, rich layers of history, and unapologetic spirit, Jade quickly developed a deep-rooted sense of belonging. What began as admiration evolved into commitment: a calling to contribute, support, and build alongside the people who make this city extraordinary.

Professionally, Jade brings years of experience as a civil servant, having worked across California’s public agencies with a focus on equity and servitude. Her recent transition into the nonprofit world marks a new chapter guided by purpose and alignment. Jade is truly honored to serve as Feed Black Future's Executive Assistant and recognizes the privilege of value-aligned work. For Jade, working in mission-aligned spaces is more than a job; it's a reflection of her core values and a meaningful way to give back.

Outside of her professional life, Jade wears many cherished titles: Dog Mom, Sister, Aunty, and Friend. When she is not working or volunteering, Jade can be found enjoying a sunset, dipping her toes in a body of water, or singing the wrong notes at karaoke. No matter the scene, Jade shows up with heart, humor, and a deep commitment to the people around her.
